The OTHM completely supports the Tourism and Hospitality industry from training to supplying experienced future employees. OTHM qualifications give individuals the knowledge to build a career across T&HT

Course Details:

Semester 1 -

  • Understanding the varied world of the T&HT Industry
  • Understanding Communication and Customer Care within T&HT
  • Understanding Accounting & Financing within T&HT

Semester 2 -

  • Understanding the Tourism and Hospitality Business
  • Understanding Events Management in Tourism and Hospitality
  • Academic and employability skills

The modules prepare individuals to enter the next stage of the programme, participating in work placements during the second semester

Career Prospects

The course will develop the business skills needed when entering positions within major tourism companies, tourism development bodies, local authorities, regional and national government in the UK and overseas. Upon successful completion of Level 4, there is a guaranteed progression route onto Level 5 Dip in T&HT Management

Entry Requirements:
  • Students must be a minimum of 18 years old on commencing the course and demonstrate competence in English at the necessary IELTS 5.5 level or above - students with 5.0 may also be accepted and a short English course will be provided throughout the year to meet the necessary requirements

And:

  • The OTHM Level 3 Award in T&HT Management (QCF) or other relevant UK Level qualification or overseas equivalent(s) as recognised by UK-NARIC

Or

  • 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) and 1 X ‘A’ Level (Grade A-C)

Or

  • Mature Student (over 21) with relevant portfolio of work experience
Other Points:

Campus: London – work placements available across the UK
Duration: 1 Year, full time
Course Periods: New courses start monthly
